Philosophy :

The philosophy of Gestalt and our practice is that we are the creator of our lives.
We do not need to be stuck in our past.
It is possible to free ourselves from our blockages to be able to make different choices that will lead us to a fulfilling life.
For this you’ll have to take time to self-care; to get to know yourself, heal your wounds, accept and appreciate yourself and in this process move towards new ways of doing, perceiving, and being in a gentle and progressive way.
This is a process. It is a journey. A journey done together, you and the therapist as your observer, guide and safe haven of support.

The History of Gestalt

Gestalt was created by the German Friedrich Perls, a former disciple of Freud and neuropsychiatrist, and his wife Laura Posner, a doctor of psychology in the 1950s in the United States.

It remains in the idea of Pearls that we are the creators of our lives, integrating Western and Eastern philosophies and spirituality as well as developmental theories, continually updated by new research in neuroscience and epigenetics.

The traditional approach can be quite confrontive

The humanistic approach is much softer, more compassionate though still powerful
